I’m Slacking, Guys

I know I’m slacking on the writing front, let’s be honest shall we? Life just keeps getting in the way.

I’m broke.

I’m working all the time.

I’m attempting to socialize with friends… which is making me broke.

So I have to work more…

VICIOUS CIRCLE MY FRIENDS!

It’s not that I don’t have the time to write, or a lack of ideas – I’ve got two ongoing projects at the moment – but I’m lacking motivation.

Just like anyone else, the last thing I want to do when I get home from work… is work. And even though I adore writing with my entire heart and soul: it’s still hard work. Instead, I come home and watch CSI or NCIS and worry about my pet rabbit, or how I’m going to save for a flat by Christmas 2016.

Our personal lives get in the way of our career lives sometimes, and it can’t be helped. But if Stephen King managed to teach, provide for his family and write ‘Carrie’, then I’m sure I can manage to finally finish ‘Finding Jennifer’.

I’m Changing My Life Just To Travel

The more I travel and experience, the more I change – for the better.

I want to see the world – every dingy alley, every castle, every tower, every bar, every bakery. I want to smell things and taste things and experience what different cultures and climates have to offer.

I want to be changed by the world, and if that means changing my life a little bit now – I am ready to sacrifice a few things.

Recently, I’ve been spending a lot of time in London and the more I see of the city, the more I fall in love. I used to hate London because it was loud and cramped and full of tourists. But now I couldn’t stand anything but the noise. I’ve never wanted a quiet or an easy life, but now I know that I won’t be happy unless I’m trying new things and seeing new places.

I need an adventure – in any shape or form – to be happy with my life. (It’s just funding it all that’s the problem!)

165975-If-Traveling-Was-FreeSo I’ll do the overtime, and I’ll curb my expenditure. I’ll change my lifestyle just to save for all my future endeavors. I’m also getting rid of a lot of clutter in my life, physical and otherwise. Right now, that means getting rid of a lot of junk I’ve deemed important.

Wish me luck, and happy travels!
